Leadership
The Savannah River Research Campus represents the first time a nationally-recognized lab and a community have joined together to become the leader in applied research and technology. Savannah River National Lab (SRNL) occupies half of the center where it performs its unclassified hydrogen work, to allow for collaboration with universities and industry.
ARC:Hydrogen is funded by Aiken County government and is a program of the Economic Development Partnership (EDP) of South Carolina. EDP is a not-for-profit organization that promotes economic development within Aiken and Edgefield counties, both for existing businesses and for new members of the business community.
ARC:Hydrogen is a program of EDP whose purpose is to create a steady stream of jobs that relate to or involve transfer technology. This $10 million investment demonstrates the confidence and importance placed on the hydrogen economy by the local economic development community.
ARC:Hydrogen is poised to help the economy grow by positioning the Aiken region to become one of the fastest growing knowledge-based economies in the state.
